"She Married Him and they had 12 Kids Together!?"

You've probably seen those ubiquitous banners before for reunion websites that try to steal your credit card number so that you can see what "4 people have been recently searching for you!" Well cliche none the less and in their annoying banneresque style, I dug up an old CD from 9 years ago from 7th period Yearbook Layout that happened to have all our yearbook pictures on them and after too many wasted hours the product featuring you is seen above!

I stopped short of captioning each person's name under their picture so that you can spend a boring Friday night playing Name That Face on our website; answers are in your yearbooks. The truth is that it took wayyy too long sorting through 2700 unsorted pictures named in quirky ###-##.jpg filenames. Let's just say thank goodness for Picasa and for the fact that we were all in formal ware that helped make it doable. If you don't see your face, be patient, there's over 600 photos in random scrolling order so maybe you'll eventually see yourself. Have fun with it!

Giving Credit Where Credit is Due

So the anonymous registrar of olyclass2000.blogspot.com has stepped forward being none other than our own Crystal Rasmussen (Sargent) who I must say gave me the idea of consolidating class member blogs to one place. Feeling guilty a couple of weeks ago that www.olyclass2000.com had gone into disarray for quite some time, I decided to use some of my free time between blocks to just migrate it over to Blogger where I had been blogging already. To my surprise someone (being Crystal) had already homesteaded olyclass2000 and in fact had some class member blogs up. I took a good idea and rolled with it which eventually trickled down to our most recent website revision. Our thanks and recognition to Crystal for the great idea who has been more than friendly about the idea and our apologies to Crystal for the apparent hostile takeover.

If you point your bookmarks to www.olyclass2000.com whatever address we end up using will be up-to-date and redirected to.

Where and What Are You?

I didn't know that Walt Disney World was its own industry, but apparently it is listed by Google Directory as a category along with everything else in the new poll. If Google says it's true, it must be true --just like Wikipedia! Speaking of Wikipedia, have you ever seen our school's entry on Wikipedia? I think once upon a time there was some more stuff about the school on there but it must have been defaced sometime ago. I've thrown up our link on the page. Of note however are some of the notable alumni from our school! Karl Rove for one might be a familiar name (since maybe he's been running the U.S. government for the last seven years over Bush) I'm impressed by the people making headlines but in the meantime until all of us can make that list, there's a new poll up finding out what you're doing right about now in "industry" so you can give us a sneak peak as to what Noble, Oscar, Grammy or X-Prize category you'll fall into one day. That poll and and "Where are you in 2008" run until 6/1/2008 and we'll blog the results and think of something creative to fill its place. Enjoy!

David Fehr 1982-2008

It is with sadness that we report the passing of our classmate David Fehr this past week. His obituary as published in the Deseret News is provided below. We wish his loved ones well in this time of loss and mourning.

David Edwards Fehr "Bubba" David passed away February 24, 2008. His passing was a surprise as was his arrival on this earth. David constantly surprised his parents, his wife and son, his sisters and brother, his nieces and nephew, all of whom loved him dearly. David was born February 3, 1982 to Maxine Edwards Fehr and Robert Walker Fehr. He graduated from Olympus High School in 2000. David married Kathleen Eubank at the Cottonwood Club on June 1, 2003. David was a Utility Arborist employed by Murray City. His happiest hours were spent with his son Trace, his family and hunting waterfowl at the Harrison Duck Club with his companion and hunting buddy "Moose", his great black lab. David is survived by his parents, Maxine and Bob; his son, Trace Colton; and Trace's mother, Katie; big sisters, Terilyn (Rob) Hixson, Kristi (Vince) Thurgood and big brother, Rob (Jennifer) Fehr. His five nieces and one nephew will miss "Uncle Bubba" greatly. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at Zion's Bank in David's name, for his son, Trace. A goodbye for family and close friends will be held for David at the Harrison Duck Club on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. (Dirt road from northwest corner of The International Center follow arrows. Wear Levi's and camo).
